Allotment is based on 3 things. Vacancies, your preferences and the eligibility criteria set by the specific bank.
- If 1st ranker opted for PNB and he has all the eligibility norms stipulated by PNB, then he will get PNB. If there are no vacancies in PNB or if he is not fit for eligibility criteria of PNB (Like age and Graduation %), his next preference will be considered for selection.
- In case of reserved candidates: If OBC candidate got marks above the General cutoff marks and his 1st preference is also satisfied in general vacancies, he will get allotment from General vacancy. If his preferred bank general vacancies are finished, he will be selected from OBC vacancies of respective bank if there are any. If the OBC vacancies are also finished, then his next preference will be considered.
- Some candidates have the view that luck is need in this selection process. Actually it not correct. Allotment will be made based on merit only. After allotting a bank for 1st ranker only, 2nd ranker will get chance for selection.
- If you are still confused about the allotment process, just leave it to IBPS. You just take care of your preference list according to your needs. They wont cheat you. They are improving the system from time to time. We have to appreciate them for their continuous efforts to provide better way of recruitment process.

Sir, I have seen the list of selected candidates for PO in canara bank. I have a combined score of 63.08 and I belong to Unreserved category.
I was amazed to see that some candidates belonging to OBC category were allotted in Unreserve category having combined scores less than me.OBC candidates having score in the range of 62.. werw allotted to canara bank but i was not allotted to canara bank.

The marks of graduation is not considered in calculating overall per….
But there is minimum criteria of graduation percentage in bank PO. for gen-60% and others 55%

Hello every body, i just spoke today to one of the scale-4 officer of BOI. Abt the recruitment process and bank allotment.They said that individual bank will keep their
graduation % criteria this year also as they had done last year.So, who have less marks in
ibps po 2 but good % in graduation, keep patience,there is a chance.Because very few candidates have more than 60% in graduation.

i have considered that all top 22k candidates are giving preferences. but it is not possible practically. some candidates will miss while giving preference. so i cant rule out ur chances. cutoff will be between 61 to 62 only

if you have the higher rank and you have the first right to select ,according to your preference for example:
your preference :
1. pnb
2.bob
3.boi
if pnb and bob is full then if boi has seat then it is given to you only not to the lower rank who preferred BOI his first preference.

If none of the selected three banks can be allotted to a specific candidate, which one bank will be allotted to him then…? Or will he be fired out of the entire process straightaway if he cant get any of the three banks he has chosen…?

You have mentioned above that Banks will come up with their specific Eligibility Criteria and One can be through after satisfing the individual criteria.
So Just need to know wether Banks will give their criteria or Banks might come up with their Eligibility conditions? Or they might just go universally for all candidates without any specific Criteria?

Individual banks have their own HR policies. i dont think they change them now. i have already posted abt the % of marks individual banks ask for in the previous recruitment’s.
